An evening of conversation and performance with Canada’s Queen of R&B!

This is a co-presentation with the Chester Ronning Centre for the Study of Religion and Public Life, and the Jeanne and Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre.

The Ronning Centre is hosting Jully Black in March 2025 as part of its Black History month programming. The show is a free event to University students and community members.

In addition to performing her various hits, Jully will share her experiences highlighting the needs and examples of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the music industry, or in other areas of her public life, as well as how these connect to her faith.

The structure of the event will be a 30-45 minute moderated artist talk with the Centre Director at the start of the show, which will then be followed by an intermission, and then Jully Black’s performance.

Questions for the artist talk will be shared with Black prior to the event.

The Ronning Centre offers event programming that feature thoughtful religious perspectives on contemporary issues. Public figures are invited to share their experiences and stories to deepen knowledge about how religion and public life intersect. The Centre is located in Camrose, offering unique opportunities for the rural community to engage these figures and their ideas.
