Join us for an entertaining Night of One-Act Plays directed and performed by ECCHS drama students! This fast-paced night of theatre features three hilarious and mysterious short plays, each with its own unique twist. "How to Get Away with a Murder Mystery" by Don Zolldis: Five mysterious color-coded guests. A mansion. A murder. Can the killer get away with it? And how will the sleuths bring them to justice? A handy guide to escaping the law when one happens to be a prime suspect in a mysterious murder. This show hilariously skewers the tropes of a murder mystery: an airtight alibi, a long-winded monclogue by a detective with an accent and even an impossibly complicated Rube Goldberg murder device. "The Broken Window" by Diane Wagner is a play about friendship, loss, and something supernatural. Follow along and watch as a group of teenagers uncover deep truths and begin to unravel a mystery that has yet to be solved. Finally, in "12 Angry Villains" by Jason Pizzarello, the most notorious villains in fairy tale history have been called together for jury duty. As they debate the fate of one unlucky defendant, personalities clash, tempers rise, and the courtroom fills with larger-than-life characters in this playful parody of a classic courtroom drama. Come support our talented student performers for a night of comedy, mystery, and memorable characters!
