Event Notes
Come join the Augustana Drama Division as we enter the magical world of Badger, Mole, Rat, and Toad in The Wind in the Willows. This timeless classic, by Kenneth Grahame, was begun as a bedtime story Grahame told to his son, Allister. The story takes place in Edwardian England at a time when horse and wagon were competing with the automobile. It combines the wisdom and curiosity of the animals of “The Riverbank” and the “Wild Wood” with the people of the “Wild World.”
The action centers around Ratty, Mole and Badger trying to get a handle on Mr. Toad as he is determined to drive himself to ruin through his obsession with automobiles. This play is suitable for all ages.
