“Confusionaires Take On Buddy Holly” is a true-to-form tribute to the late, great pioneer of Rock & Roll, Buddy Holly! Deemed a suitable quest for band steeped in early rock & roll tradition sporting numerous compositions of their own, The Confusionaires have devised a fun and informative 2 hour show w/ intermission.
The first set showcases the works of Buddy Holly, focusing primarily on the songs and hits we all grew up with, all while sharing stories and anecdotes from our own memories around these songs, and some legendary stories about the man himself navigating the late 1950’s as a writer and performer, and the monumental impact he had on music culture in the 3 short years he was active.
Since was was only active for those 3 years between the end of 1956 and February 3rd, 1959, The Confusionaires return to the stage following a brief intermission, and keep the 1950s party going with a mixture of other early songs from the likes of Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Eddie Cochran, and others, as well as a healthy dose of Confusionaires original songs, written in the style of the time period.
From start to finish, it’s a fun show that’s attracted diverse audiences around Alberta and has put smiles on the faces of audiences of all ages.
